During the Financial Crisis and Housing market meltdown, Jake Marder noticed a lack of viable funding options for small to mid size businesses. Banks had tightened up on credit and otherwise healthy businesses found themselves faced with the prospect of closing their doors.

After working in the small to medium-sized business lending space and dedicating himself to learning everything there is to know about it, Jake launched YM Ventures.
